KKIN Radio has proudly served a large area of central and north central Minnesota since 1961. The station is one of the oldest and most respected in the entire region. At 94.3 FM, you’ll find Classic Hit Country that has set the standard for others to follow, but can’t be duplicated. At 930 AM Stereo, it’s great Adult Standards that appeal to a wide audience.
We reach people of all ages and the station is located in the heart of Minnesota Lakes Country in the community of Aitkin, about 125 miles north of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and about 90 miles west of Duluth. Our coverage area is vast with signal strength reaching over a 75 mile radius. We are part of the extensive Red Rock Radio Group.
We are proud to annouce our new radio station SAM 101.5! This station launched in September of 2011 to the Brainerd Lakes area, and has been rapidly gaining popularity! By adding SAM 101.5, we have expanded our efforts to reach people of all ages to listen to music. From ABBA to ZZ Top, and everything inbetween 70s and today, this station will have something for everyone in the family.
We have up to the minute weather, local and national Associated Press (AP) Network News and local sports coverage that includeshigh school sports for Aitkin, Crosby and McGregor. In addition, we have live shows daily that include Sports Call which airs each Monday from 8:30 – 10:00 AM, Community Connection which airs each Tuesday – Friday from 9:00 – 10:00 AM and our extremely popular live Radio Auction each Wednesday from 10:05 AM – Noon. Our Radio Auction has commonly been referred to as "saving central," where listeners can save money on a variety of items. We are also a braodcast partner of Minnesota Twins Baseball, Minnesota Vikings Football and Minnesota Golden Gophers Football.
For many years, we have been known throughout the area as the station that can be counted on to provide important andtimelyinformation to our listening audience. We work very hard to make certain that KKIN Radio not only plays the best music in the area, but also the very best that a radio station can be. Northing is more important to us than our listening audience.

Radio Promotions/Community Involvement
Throughout the year, KKIN Radio promotes a huge variety of local events in the communities that we serve. We partner with many 
civic organizations to help promote these events that are extremely beneficial to many people. We actively work with many Chambers of Commerce to help broadcast the many wonderful community events found in our great recreational area. People can always count on KKIN Radio to make certain that any and all area promotions are properly promoted.
